Description

Folding game board is covered with green wool woven cloth with a felted texture. A .25" wide outside border of wood is all the way around and is fastened to body with brass screws. Corners are rounded. At the top of the board is a label "HIGH CARD". Two rows of playing cards (the complete suit of spades), faces up, are evenly spaced across the board.

Faro casekeep is abacus-like counting device in hinged mahogany frame. Rows of red and white counting disks on metal rods are positioned above rows of cards to match the folding board. Stenciled underneath is: "FROM A. BALL & BRO / 85 Market St. / Chicago."

This faro board was seized in a raid on a Miles City saloon
