Description

Ash cross country skis with chamfered face, routed edges, and central longitudinal groove on bottom. Tips narrow dramatically while increasing in depth. Strap binding of tan and black leather with three buckles and one locking clip. Brown leather patch under boot area. Each ski stamped at tip "S.N. Wold and P. Kolstad/(illegible) street/St. PAUL, Minn."

Skis were used by Yellowstone photographer F. Jay Haynes on photography trip of Yellowstone National Park in 1894,
